I'll probably change directions a bit when I get back to this
Been a bit since I last worked on this, huh...? Well, I've had a lot of time to think.
And I think I can do a lot of what I wanted to do with this project better justice if I ignore my original plans, keep the original core ability set, scrap the old hidden ability set almost completely if not completely, and then more or less... start from there planning-wise.
I think I can make a spookier game than what my original plans would've led to, instead doubling down on some aspects I'd originally been thinking of as more... secondary, than it probably should've been?
So yeah, I think I have some vague ideas for what to do whenever I visit this again, and hopefully you're all around for it when it gets there.
Because I think anybody who liked the original core concept, a somewhat spooky Metroidvania, will be plenty pleased with the new thoughts I have for where to take things... assuming my thoughts stay the same by the time I get around to it, that is.
