A downloadable game for Windows

Have you ever thought that games had too many dimensions? 2D still too much? Here you go? 1D game.

I mean it technically has movement in 2 dimensions, but it's depicted purely 1 dimensionally. It's like how a 3D game is actually depicted in 2 dimensions on your screen.

Oh? Were you hoping the game would only play in 1 dimension as well? Too bad! This game is an April Fools' Day project so like. idk guess that's part of the prank for some people.

btw the game window stretches itself to be 480 pixels tall (including the title bar to be clear) so you can actually like... see stuff. I promise the actual internal resolution it's running at is 480x1 though.

Also, the game tells you some stuff in the title bar I guess.

(Soundtrack is re-used from the still-unfinished Quadratic Attack 3D, composed by ColonelSandwich. Thanks!)

Hey! it's been a while since we last met(not sure if you remember me) but, I saw that you uploaded a new game so I decided to check it out and leave a comment.

I really like the idea of a 1D game and I liked the way you executed your idea but, level 3 is the only problem I have with the game. the level is fine up until you reach this one section(check the attached image). I have been stuck on that part for a good 10 minutes and I have no idea if what I'm doing is wrong or if how I'm doing it is wrong. At one point I even started wondering whether or not this part is actually doable and if it was an April fools joke to the player.

Other than that, this was a unique and enjoyable game and please leave the solution to the part in level 3 that I was talking about earlier. I really want to beat the final boss and see the ending of the game.

Oh hey! I thought I recognized the name and I checked and sure enough, you're that person who made The Factory! I remember you!

Yeah okay so for this section what you have to do is... essentially, you have to stand right behind the laser-zappy-thing from the top of it, and then the moment it activates, hold right, mash shoot, and mash down. It's pretty hard to do even then, but it is possible.

There's a reason the trailer pokes fun of how hard this level is though, that being said. It's uh... it's pretty clear that I designed the game in less than a day suffice to say, didn't really have time to playtest this part to make sure the difficulty balancing was right.

If I ever do update the game I might tone that part down very slightly by making very specifically those beams take a bit longer to activate than the others or something...? Who knows!

But yeah admittedly part of why I didn't mind too much if it turned out like this was, well, april fools' day game, if it turns out it's too hard for its own good oh well guess that can be a joke in the trailer at that point or something.

Anyway! Thanks for playing!
